5th Grade Advanced Writing and Reading

 

The 5th Grade Advanced Writing class will use the Core Knowledge Language Arts curriculum along with Step Up to Writing and various support sites. We will read novels, use Socratic seminars for discussion, and keep writing journals both in class and online using Google Classroom. Expectations will be high - we want advanced students to really dig in and stretch their writing abilities. 

Forbes lists these employee qualities as the most desirable in the 21st Century. We'll work on all of them this year in 5th grade!
